Mach 2 start issue

Dunno where to place this topic, hope my choice was right.

I have this issue with mach 2, when i boot, the start takes long time, i noticed that cooling temp was about -36 C before the mainboard was powered up, normaly it's -30 C. When the mainboard is powered up, it shuts down after 3-5 sec's, i tryed "many" times, same issue.. Mach 2 display just say's "power down" and the comp shuts down.

I noticed the display also wrote "low power", but only sometimes. wird yes i know.

It worked fine with my old 478 cpu-kit, but this A64 kit, just wount work.

I really dunno what to do, i used to like this old mach 2, so ill rather not dump this lian-li mach 2 though it's old, hm.. If any1 know's about this issue, plz let me know.

Yes, all wires are connected as they'r surposed 8)

I tried that, no use

Just so every1 knows, all wires are connected as they's surpposed too be.

Maybe it's getting old?

Maybe some1 had same issue, and what did u do to fix it?

Well it's got to be a lack of signal to the control board.

So if you definitely have power at the molex you're using for that signal (double check with fan) then it's got to be the wiring or the control board.

So, if you have a meter, check for continuity in those wires from there to the control board, and that the wiring is all ok at the control board.

Otherwise reflash and see if your firmware is giving you grief.

Beyond that, find someone who repairs Mach's that's local to you if you can, and have him take a look for you

Year, that's my nightmare you just said there...

I was hoping not to do that, but if im the only1 who have this issue, i guess i have to get some1 to look at it..

In tinkering with my Mach II, I noticed that when the yellow/yellow wire isn't plugged in, the Mach II reaches boot temp and just powers down (this is after your hit the PC power button of course )

But the wires are all as they should be. I tryed with a fan on the cpu, and it still does the same power down...

Ok well if the mach2 is firing up when you hit the power button on your case then that connection is fine that just leaves the molex or jumper wire ie yellow wires where the problem lies

So suggestion time to enliminate components remove the yellow wire from the mobo plug your on/off switch back into it

Then jump start your mach by shorting the pins on the blue/white wires once it is down to boot temp start your pc if your pc fires up and the prom stays running then you have a bad connection with the yellow wires if your mach still shuts down then you know its a psu or molex issue(could be control board as well lol) oh and also if the prom shuts down but your pc does not switch the pc off

NCA - what's your setup! After I got my Mach II GT running - I got a another BFG 7800GTX OC but my system would shut down 3 secs after windows loaded. After some research, I found out the Mach II GT uses 550 watts to boot up - and I need 25+ amps on the 12v rail to run SLI. Thus I needed a 600W SLI ready PSU and not just a 600W PSU.

Now in your case - I need to know what exactly happnes after 3 - 5 sec and your specs (# of monitors too hooked up too):

1. Does the Mach II shutdown - which shuts down the CPU as well.

2. Does the CPU shutdown only - while the Mach II continues to run.

If it is 1 - it is Mach II related, but if it's 2, it's PC related.
