Oooh is that the EK DDC heatsink. I think i'm going to need one now it doesn't fit just on the bottom does it, it wraps around the whole pump without making it much taller?

It extends the top by around 5mm. Worth it if you run your DDC at full beans for long periods.

Ok I'm not sure I can afford to lose 5mm but I will have to give it a go now, i'm just in it for the looks, the mounting system looks far nicer than the stock idea.

Looking good mate, I might have to steal your idea for prettying up the DDC heatsink, although it looks pretty awesome as is, the stripped fins you've done just make it look 10 times better.

I always thought that the DDC pumps were a bit shoddy and cheap, but recently I found that I was wrong and that it really doesn't make a difference. It looks really awesome with the trim of yellow on.

No but they are loud and prone to melting at extended runtime.

The new backdrop arrived today so I took a few quick shots.i think its worked wonders!

Opinions welcome.

I'm using my first DDC, due to a space limit also, but I don't find it load at all, I'm running it at full whack with an Aquacomputer top/res combo, and the EK heatsink. The heatsink is a must though, I think, there are so many horror stories about them over heating and melting, it almost put me off, but I'm glad I gave it a go.

The new light backdrop makes a whole load of difference mate, I didn't think your handy work could look any better, Wrong.

I'll say that it does look rendered but in a really, really good way. I think it does look a lot better than the flat white and makes it look very profesional . Really can't wait to see the final product, has changed nearly everyones minds about this build I think.

Loving the grey B NEG, it looks like my paper backdrop but with substantially better lighting, and camera tbf. Those EK fittings are very tasty and clean. 12mm seems to have nicer fittings and 13mm seems to have more tubing options.

Everyones using DDC's now :huh: I picked up the heatsink so hopefully that will make the pump happy. Glad to hear it's not that loud paul, there are a couple of different versions aren't there? Some are a lower flow rate and such, is it 1T?

Yea there are quite a few I went with the DDC 3.2 pwm 1000Lph, which I believe is one, if not the highest flow rated ones. I think there is also 12v and 18v versions, so quite a few.

I'm running the 140mm Phanteks PH-F140SP, and 120mm Alpenfon fans all on 50% and they're very quiet, but still louder than the pump at 100%. I'm sticking with the DDC from here on in, I think nicer looking, smaller, and more port options on the tops.

The best thing about PWM linked to temps is that the pump works when it needs to and doesnt when it can.
Im a big D5 fan but the space just is not there.

Its a vinyl back drop with my monitor with a full screen notepad open.
And a old Canon 350d.

Lighting should be your priority.

No watercooling loop is complete without control and again I turn to Aquacomputer for their Aquaero 6 Pro controller,provided by my goto watercooling supplier,Specialtech.co.uk.

I decided against the touchscreen number,mainly as I normally just disable i anyway and this has a better look to it,just the screen and the 3 buttons. The heatsink is on route as we speak.

I love the functionality of the unit,particularly the IR on/off,it totally declutters the front and carries everything I would want to know about the state of the rig.​

Keeping the updates thick and fast,the EK PE rads have arrived!
This is great as the trays should be in my hands this week and I need to start betting the rad/fan assemblies ready for on tray placement. I dont have a massive amount of room so thickness could be an issue...we will soon see how well i judged it.

The reason I went with these rads specifically is size and the ability to remove the sides for painting,black marbling will look very tidy with the graphics going over the top of it.​

The flouro plugs arrived!,the whole PSU is being decked out in Teleios Dark grey and those lumo plugs,

Should look good plugged into the exposed backside of the Aquaero...which has the heatsink arriving tomorrow also.

In Win provide a very tidy 240 rad holder that shrouds the fans completely...I like this very much so I called In Win and they sent a second shroud for the second rad,great success!

There will be an E22 FG03 going on to the face to tidy it up....

The trays arrived yesterday and I got the marbling done today,this is still raw with no clearcoat so its a bit bumpy. I still have to smooth it a little with some wet and dry and then lots of clear,sanding in between to flat of the high points but fill the low. It will get depth and the clear will soften the edges of the marble.

The standoffs are bolt thru M3 from Wurth Electronik,11mm. This is so I can use the banchetto PCI clamps.

And the FG03 from E22 to go one the front facing rad/fan assembly.
