Low points on my 290?

So I've been looking at my PPD on my new 290 and it seems waayyy too low, as in, it's lower than my 7870 was. My FAH is stock and I have overclocked the 290 to 1150 core and 1550 mem.

I'm only getting about 40k PPD and I'm on a core 17 workload?

I think I see cpu:8 in the screenshot, hard to see. You need to leave a core free for each graphics card. So you should only have 7 cores folding not 8. That may be part of the problem.

Its probably better to have 6 cores instead of 7. FAH doesn't seem to like odd numbers of cores.

I've changed it so it runs on just 6 cores but my PPD hasn't really risen, before I did it I was getting 81k and now I'm getting 84k which is better but I'm not sure that I am getting the right numbers yet because I know people are usually getting >100k out of their cards at least.

Just left my FAH client a little while to let it catch up with the changes and sure enough it's now sitting at about 610k PPD. Thanks for the help and the fix guys!

Okay its back to the old 60k and I'm getting artifacting now... I'm pretty damn confused as to whats happening with my rig.

If its artifacting I'd try backing the OC off and run it at stock and see what happens.

I've tried running underclocked and it doesn't seem to go away, there's no problem in games or just at idle but as soon as the gpu folding turns on I get artifacting from left to right.

Ill wipe the 14.9 off and hope that the 14.4 are working okay for me.

Okay, so I just installed the 14.4 driver and uninstalled the 14.9 drivers but now I get 1.7k PPD and the artifacting is even worse. I have set my cpu and gpu back to stock and the problems persist?! The artifacting is horizontal lines across the screen and is really annoying and noticeable and I can't stop the it even after the FAH client is closed?!.

I'm really confused as to whats happening because one minute I was getting 600k+ PPD and the next I have a project that says its gonna take 10.20 days and is getting 1.7k PPD with artifacts?!
