Note : that was a very quick look. DO NOT get the 2400 RPM ones if you do not have a fan controller or can slow it down. They're friggin dangerous at that speed !
I have some 600 RPM on my 8 core Xeon rig and they are completely inaudible. However, you need a low wattage CPU to run a fan that slow.
I've been through every decent rad fan apart from the Vardar. So Noctua, Cougar etc. The NBs are the best looking I have had, and when tamed down a bit very very quiet. I would limit it to 1200 RPM if you value your sanity though![]()
Awesome. Thanks alot for your work! I will order some. They look great and have a great reputation. I am jumping up in core in my main rig and just picked up a temporary new case that will be air cooled for a few weeks
Yeah for noise and pressure they are great. They don't have the motor noise the Vardars are supposed to have either.
As I said, just try and limit them to 1200 RPM maybe 1600 RPM maximum. At 2400 they make a noise that's intolerable.
Love those new black ones. Not seen them until today.
I use Eloops on everything. Both of the AIOs that were in one rig (in blue) and in white on the other rig (my daily).
The 140s are on sale on OCUK.

I think once you use them on rads you'd never change them unless you wanted LEDs tbh. I've been using them for about two years now, I previously used Cougars but they are orange. Both are fantastic for SP though and the motor noise is pretty much zero.
Vardars are really expensive and I've heard they have motor noise.
Vardars are noisey. I have just tried some Noctua NF-P14s over the past few days that start whirring like crazy over 1000rpm.
Do you think the B14-1 600rpm will be enough for a rad?
