Looking to buy 4k, 144hz+, IPS Monitor. 2k Monitor suggestions are okay too.

With the 3080 making 4k gaming easily viable I was wanting to snag a 4k monitor. Right now I am looking at the LG 27GN950 but I always like keeping my options open. My starting budget is 800$ but I would like to see suggestions in all price brackets if people are willing. I like to see feature differences I can expect in the different price ranges.

Also I am willing to look at higher refresh rate 1440p(2k) monitor suggestions as well. Was looking at the Samsung G7 for that area of monitors. But just remember 4k is kind of my main goal, it just never hurts to expand your horizons.

My current Monitor is a Dell s2716dg.

Just including your 4K and 144hz+with IPS requirement in your list, you have instantly and severely limited your options. I put your requirements into one site I use and it went from 300+ options down to 4. And none of those were under £1000 for me.

The G7 is a very good monitor, but I would be skeptical given the adaptive sync issues that has plagued many people.

I still dont get what the fascination with 4k is. 1440p with a nice higher fast refresh for me is much more appealing.

I tried to view overclockers and their filtering is terrible for such a big site. Unless I missed it.
This one might be in Norwegian, but its an easy to use filter in the left column and will show you what options you will have by adding your requirements in.

27" 4K displays don't make sense at all. You need 32" for 4k. Still 4k isn't worth it for anything other than content creation. Proper ones are too expensive and there is no way you will hit 144Hz in any newer game.

I would rather go for 21:9 LG 34GN850-B over any 4k display. Much cheaper and easier to run. You can probably hit 144Hz on this resolution with 3080 class card in most games.

For 1440p LG 27GL850.

I myself are looking for something along them specs but i am leaning more towards a tv than an monitor, waiting to see hopefully end of the year what new models will drop 32'''and above upto 50-55'' max
