Looking for some 2.0 speakers for around £40

Hi guys, as title says im looking to get some 2.0 speakers for around £40. They are for my mother so they dont have to blow the house down but she does like listening to a few classics.

Whats out there?

Just a couple of bookshelf speakers?

It's not really my area of expertise but for casual and easy listening bookshelf speakers are great.

Yup, I agree. A small bookshelf speaker system will be a nice gift for her. If you were looking at PC speakers, some of the Creative 2.0 speakers provide decent sound. You may find interest in one such as this:

Are you looking for stand alone speakers for an amp, or pre amped 2.0 speakers.

If your looking for pre amped all in one, Then i would very highly recomend: Logitech x140 2.0 sterio speaker's.

They offer a good tweater and mini sub solution, with a very good quality sound.

The lower price I've seen online for these is £17

Also power consumption is only 5 watts.
