i have the klipsch promedia 2.1 and am very happy with those
i believe they have a 5.1 set as well and iirc sub has the 2.1 too, at least he said something about buying them a while ago

Quality bookshelf style speakers will mostly always give you better quality than a bunch of amped up satellites and a massive sub.

I have the audio engine A5+ speakers and they're leagues above any "gaming" branded speakers.

If you feel like you're not getting the bass you wanted, further down the line you can add the S8 sub.

I know its extremely out of your price range but my friend had these bookshelf speakers and they were phenomenal Dali Epicon 2. If you ever did upper your budget to this price check them out. I'm considering getting these in a years time from now.

You don't need a DAC no, it was just an option with your budget.

The DAC will just give you a much cleaner signal and a more accurate representation of the music you play.

The A5+ do an amazing job without the DAC, many speakers do as the most important part of the sound are the speakers.

ok thanks for making that easier to under stand for me because of my Autism it is a little hard to understand. and i am think of going with the Corsair SP-2500 High-power 2.1 PC Speaker System i have not made up me mind yet
