Watercooling is the only thing. At the recent Nvid event there was a single 480 with a 240mm XSPC ran and a D5 vario running max speed and the GPU was still hitting over 80c..........

ouchhhh!! i was thinkin when i sell my old rig i would be able to float the pennies for one but its 2 much heat and power for me but i want dual purpose cards so i can fold when not gamin

like many people have said ATI have the upper hand in this gen of cards,so when you sell your old rig get something like a 5870 or if you have the funds a 5970

well like TTL said you need to invest in some extreme WC to keep a 480 cool

yeah its a pitty but water i wouldnt trust myself setting that up or have the money 2 get a gtx480 then wc it (as i would wc everything) then get a new case for wc then a new psu on top so i couldnt justify it its just a naughty silly want ha ha
