Linux/windows boot problem

Hey peeps, hoping someone can help me out here.

Yesterday I uninstalled lunix that I had on my netbook which has it's own partition, and then deleted the partition and merged it back into the windows one so I can use all the space on the HDD. But when I restarted this morning it doesn't even get to a boot loader, all I get is:

grub rescue>

And I have no idea how to get out of it and back into windows.

Can anyone help me out? Really need the netbook for my revision!

hi

- boot from windows installation media

- look for repair console

- logon to your installation in that console

- type fixmbr

- type fixboot

- reboot from harddrive

what it does: it basically rewrites the windows master boot record and bootloader.

Hey, thanks for the info, but I'm finding it difficult to get an installation copy of windows 7 starter that I can boot from on a USB. I have a linux one, which I might install and then start again with uninstalling it and fixing the boot manager.

I fixed the problem, found an ISO and booted then repaired from the USB.
