would this be possible really, i want to see if my waterblock i own (as i own no other kit atm) leaks, now i was proposing to do this by stick my garden hose onto one of the barbs and turning it on and placing the block upside down, i simply want to see if the block leaks around the seal between the copper and the lucite. plus it will be fun as i have nothing else to do, comments welcome please.

I wouldnt really recommend it, the water from the tap would be full of stuff which you wouldnt want in your loop, so you would have to flush through several times with distilled water once you have done it, and maybe take apart and clean it which would defeat the object of the exercise.

I would get some distilled water and fill up the block with that and see if it leaks, then you can test it at pressure once the rest of the kits arrives.

Holding out a bit is better IMO that the risk of getting algae etc in your loop, because cleaning a clogged up loop up aint much fun.

okie dokie getting hold of distilled water isnt a problem tho, i was gonna buy the swiftech kit cos it was cheap and had a manual but through a stroke of genious on my part i can buy a better kit for arond the same money since i already have a block sitting next to me and was getting abit bored with it sitting there. anyone know how similarly the thermochill PA120.3 rad is going to be to the HE120.3 rad?

According to Thermochill the PA120.3 will out perform the HE120.3 with like for like fans. With higher CFm fans however the HE120.3 will still produce excellent results. Both are pretty much unbeatable!

The lower the CFM of your fans, the more the PA120 should gain you:

The PA Series boasts from 10-40% better performance over the HE Series. 10% for the high / noisy airflow end of the fan market, and up to 40% for the low airflow / silence end of the market.

It is supposed to be released next week, so you can see the prices then.
