Killer 2100 NIC

Dicehunter

Resident Newb
Just got a Killer 2100 from a fellow forum member and the weirdest thing has happened, for some reason without changing any other hardware my cpu temps dropped by 2'c, i took it out and they went back up 2'c like they were before i installed the NIC and then re-installed it and saw the 2'c temp decrease again

I like the temp decrease but what wizard madness is happening inside my rig ???

Maybe, just maybe, the card effects airflow or something if your using air cooling??? 2c just seems too good to be true, you know?

I too experienced this phenomena. I was running dual CAT 7 to my dual Marvel Yukon Gig onboard controllers. I saw my idle cpu load drop by 4 or 5% and my temps by 2 or 3c. Plus, lower ping times

the card has its own prosseror on it to take some of the load off the main cpu so thats what it will be

good to see all going good with the new card :)
