Has anyone got any experience with US layout boards?
Would love UK one but simply cannot afford thos kind of prices but have seen several cheap ones but all have the US layout.

That's the only difference. The only real annoyance personally comes from the smaller enter key, special characters after that are rarely used so are fine as far as I'm concerned.

Yup just means that the £ is replaced with $, and @ and " are switched around.. other than they are pretty much the same.

tbh I do use the £ and @ quite often and thats why I was concerned.
Wondering if I could get away with just replacing keys or not

I bought a euro keyboard and just emailed cooler master and said I dropped the keyboard and lost some keys and they sent them straight out to me.

I recently did the same with my k70 as well and corsair were just as good

thats good to know I really like the look of the coolermaster and corsair but way out my reach sadly

Personally I prefer the swapped @ and " 's on the US layout because it makes more sense to me that way around.

However the lack of gbp sign can be a pain. But easy # on the 3 instead of the gbp isn't necessarily bad. I use # way more than I do the pound sign so it's meh.
If you switch between the two a lot, you'll find yourself preemptively hitting enter a lot when you meant to hit ' slightly bigger shift key is also nice. Tbh, try it :)

I think you can get the £ sign on US layout, it just involves using right alt key and one of the numbers.

e.g. Alt Gr + 3 is how I get it in Norway. Actually I think its Alt Gr + 4 to get the £ sign on a US keyboard.

thanks all since I dont want to be faffing about with key combos it looks like I will have to save up for the high prices of a uk layout.

Well its not much different pressing right alt and 4 to pressing shift and 3. When I moved to Norway I had a tricky time getting used to Nordic layout. Now i cant live without it, I prefer it over UK layout. More available keys too.
