Just saw this, I couldn't stop being irritated.

Having a good laugh in the comments right now, lots of n00bs all running around telling people to stick 3770k's in their gaming rigs x.x

I couldn't even suffer through that whole video... but did he ever install 4 sticks of memory? I only saw 2 sticks in the right memory slots... Did he ever go quad channel?

From the little snippets I saw, Nope :(
Such a terrible shame... An LGA2011 system, running a 3820, and dual channel memory... So much fail. Not only does he not need LGA 2011, but you might as well go all the way and get a 3930k if you go LGA 2011... And that should ONLY be for workstation / production applications! Why don't people get that LGA2011 is rarely for gaming?

just watched the video. someone tell that stupid guy to quit life. also why does that "expert" recommend those parts. it's completely overkill in some areas and completely underspec'd in others. it won't run crysis 3 maxed out at 45-60 fps either. can you call this fraud?

The idea is you put the PSU in first, connect the power cable, then flick the switch off on the PSU.
That way you earth the entire case so you'll dissipate any static, and won't damage your components.

that cooler is the worst thing and i know it sounds silly but as long as your earthed it makes no dif if you put your psu in first or not

and is it me or would you have the fan blowing from that cpu cooler right out the exhaust port helped by the exhaust fan or is that just me?

WOW! Everybody has pointed out everything. All I can add is, WOW!

Before doing the video the "expert" should have been familiar with everything. Also he should have spoken about static right at the beginning, not 15 minutes into the video.

Yes ..."expert" not one wore a anti static bracelet or touched the case regularly to be worried about the static. i just love how more people hat this vid than rate it

I tried this once and it just made like a turbulent mess at the back of my case. I ended up just loosing the exhaust fan and had the heatsink sending air straight through where the fan would have gone. There was only like 1-2inches of space between them so maybe thats why air was bouncing everywhere?

So boys and girls, thermal paste is what prevents your CPU from overheating - not the cooler, that's for show.
