i upgraded from x800 gto2 @x850 xt pe speeds

do you think i will notice a huge difference?

and also, what is ocing potential of xtx, i heard they run HOT

You will notice a HUGE difference, trust me :)

If you do any sort of benchmarking at all, be prepare to see some outrageous scores compared to what u were getting on the GTO2. I don't know what resolution you game at, but I can guarantee that with the new card you'll be able to game at native resolution with all settings maxed in any game and have it nice and smooth!

Nice purchase mate.

Someone else will have to answer to the overclocking potential, Kemp would probably be suited best to answer that one.

well to tell you the truth, i had bought a dell 2407 and was happy playing at 1024 x 1028 until i got it, but after i bought it, i thought wth!! its kinda a waste of my monitor. so i put it up to 1900x 1200 and then i have to have all the settings on low. so im hoping that with 1900xtx i can make use of it

Rest assured, when i get it, ill be asking for help with OCing it

Ohh yaeh, it'll handle it. OC is easy. Just enable Overdrive in Catalyst Control Center and drag both RAM & Core to max. Press save @ bootup and perss apply. Easiest, most trouble free way to OC those cards. (Max in CCC will be 690/800 iirc, which is perfectly safe.)

yeah i heard useing the overdrive its easy, but you cant go very high

i heard some people were getting like 750s but they had to mess around with voltages. sounded a bit messy

Wirelessly posted (LG Fusic: Opera/8.01 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/2.0.4719/1372; en; U; ssr))

that card should make minced meat out of 1900x1200 with settings on high or close to at least.

What's the cooler like? Is it noisy?

Must be one hellava sweet card!

its actually quite quiet, only when the fan is on 100% it is NOISY. but it never gets that high, unless you oc it.

i havent messed around with ocing it.

No need to OC when you have a card which will handle any res with max detail and AA+AF!

this is a sweet card by the way

its my first proper high end graphics card.

Before this i had x800 unlcoked to x850xt pe was ok,

i can play most games on everything maxed out.

dont mean to boast.

Boast away m8y ;)

When u`ve got something and u need to tell people it`s great - there`s nothing wrong with that - it`s actually beneficial to others as they can get a sense in how well u`r new card plays as opposed to the older one (which they may have).

I`d personally rather that than have some1 convincing me their new card is great and my 6600gt is still great :p There`s obviously going to be a big difference ;)
