Jumping from a 27" screen to a 30"

Hello,

Would there be any frame drops using an Asus 1080 OC jumping from my current 27" 60hz 1920 x 1080 screen to a 30" screen ?

I expect there will be some frame drop with the larger resolution.

Would this be the same with jumping to a 27" with larger resolutions and G-sync capability ?

Best regards,

Lee

Screen size is irrelevant. A 24" screen will run at the same framerate as a 64" if they're both 1080p60. It's all about the resolution.

Screen size never has anything to do with performance. You could game on a 50" 1080p television and get the exact same performance as on a 24" 1080p monitor.

Basically, it all depends on the resolution. If the 30" monitor you want to buy has a higher resolution than 1080p (like 2560x1440 or 4K), you'll definitely get fewer FPS. If the 30" monitor is 1080p, performance will be exactly the same.

Likewise, upgrading to either a higher-res 27" or 30" monitor will get you the same amount of FPS loss, assuming they're both the exact same resolution.

Thanks for the clarification.

Any recommendations on a Samsung 32" PC monitor with the standard 1080p ?

I have heard that 1080p on a 32" monitor's picture quality is poor ?

I run an EVGA GTX 180 FTW2 and use a 34 in 3440 x 1440 monitor and for the most parts its the dawgs danglies. I wish it had GSYNC for the ultimate performance but overall I'm liking it.
