ITX build Amd vs Intel and gpu choice

I cant decide at all, my 2 choices are I5 7600 or the Ryzen 5 1600 both are around the same price but the issue I have is the lack of am4 itx motherboards.

I saw the review of the Gigabyte am4 itx and obv that is made me think, Than there is biostars itx am4 but heard one review of the chips around the cpu socket getting really hot.

And then there's asrocks am4 itx board I can buy in the uk but only from ebay from companies I have never heard from and haven't seen many reviews on.

I will point out I have no interest in Over clocking and will be keeping to stock or low profile cooler of 65mm.

Next is gpu I really wanted to get a rx580 to go with the all amd build but I have seen the prices have shot up.

So what would you suggest for a 1080p 60hz refresh rate monitor...I would love to be able to play games on medium to high, fed up of playing every game on low.

Just go with intel for ITX. Ryzen hasn't got any proper board. If you are not going to overclock don't go with Z270 chipset, you don't need it. Go with H270 chipset. All the boards are around 100 Euro.

Good luck with your build. :D

Yep, like I did... ASUS Z270I Strix and an 7700, works just fine :)

You still went for Z board, and you don't have overclocking CPU... Those are meant for enthusiast overclocking... That is a waste of a perfectly good board. Cmon... someone hit me with a shovel...

I did have the 7700K, which is an overclocking CPU. But then I tried OC and it wasn't for me. Plus the CPU cooler I'm using was a tad on the weak side, hence getting the 7700.
And I also wouldn't throw away the motherboard just because of it.

So originally I went with an Z board and an 7700K... You shouldn't judge a book by it's cover dude, atleast not untill you've read some of it's story ;)

That is a unique story. But it still hurts knowing that nice board is rotting away doing nothing.

Well that is your problem then, not mine :) And FYI, it's not rotting away since my 7700 is rocking inside of it. So it is doing something :)

But to start with, the z270i Strix was the only good looking option, the H270 came later.

Exactly, were pretty much the only option when I first ordered it along with the 7700K.

For 1080p/60Hz medium high go with GTX 1060. It is much better than RX 580 (less heat, less power). But just for a little more you can go with GTX 1070, and crank up all the eye candy, and probably not think about upgrade in a while.

For the manufacturer it depends. What card can fit in your case, or maybe there is a sale in your store, and you can get some cheep. They all perform pretty much the same. But if you can get one cheep it really doesn't make difference.

What case did you have in mind?

As for a case Im actually using a mono aio
https://www.quietpc.com/mono-aio

Im using it now with a old i3 and gtx 750 1gb , I like it fits my need perfectly, I have moved house so had no space for a tower and separate monitor , and not a fan of laptops.

On the plus side how the gpu is mounted I could in the future add a better monitor for gaming and use the aio built in monitor for stream watching ect ect but rite now Im happy with it

245 mm is short (for a graphic card). You can go with any 1060 Mini ITX card. It will fit perfectly.
