It's finally here!!!!

Gutted for you. Fingers crossed it's just a dodgy early batch. Couldn't you get a couple of 280s for the same cash?

Ha ha, quite funny as I've just sold the two 280's I got in exchange for my 4870X2 from Swale.

Thing with that is they take more power, give out more heat and means I'd have to use a pants Nvidia motherboard. Also I struggle to fit one beast card in my Antec 900, let alone two :)

damn what a sod, unlucky.

Yeah it sucks quite hard, but Ebuyer usually have a pretty good turnaround so hopefully have one back within a week. Only problem I have is the auction for the 280 ends on Sunday :D

Have to try and find a mate with a spare card for a few days.

Nope... Sending it back :(

Nice card. It must be heaven playing games on it.:worship:

You know who to give it to if you ever get bored...;)

Ebuyer rock so hard

Small update...

I set up my RMA on Friday morning and called them Friday afternoon to confirm. They then said to log on to Ebuyer to arrange for them to pick up (which I also think is great.. the fact that they don't make you send it back too). Arranged for Monday and even with the epic amounts of snow, they turned up by about 11am. First thing this morning I had an email saying that they had tested it and it was found to be faulty. A replacement order was made and I've just logged on to see that it's already with Citylink to be delivered tomorrow.

Ebuyer :worship::worship::worship:

Love 4 - 5 day RMA's.

Now just looking at if I should buy a Q9550 for £200.....

Could get a 920 for around that but I'd then have to buy DDR3 and a new mobo.

Well after about 5 mins research I see it isn't worth it. It'll get me an extra 200Mhz as the X38's can't get the FSB needed to get the Penryn's all that excited.

Keep what I've got for a bit and get i7 in a few months...

Looking get, great to hear Ebuyer customer service has done Ebuyer proud :) I love taking a good picture - and your stuff looks great! Especially the sound card :P

It's finally here!!!!! Part II

Firstly, I apologise for the crappy picture and massive flashback.

But it's back :D all new and in plastic wrapping. Question is do I try and put it in tonight... Hmmmm.

Also just wanted to say that I was very sceptical about buying a hose cutter, but I got sick of crappy Stanley blades becoming blunt after like 3 cuts. Heating up blades became tedious too. Anyway at the reduced price on WCUK (like £7 or something), I thought I'd give it a crack... It's a bloody godsend!!! Worth every penny... Perfect cuts with minimum effort.

The blade is replaceable too, but I think it's thick enough to be sharpened easy enough anyway.

Wowow...matey, where your 4870 X2 then? I ove the smell of your new card...Your rig ook sexy as well. I need a second 4870 X2 or get a QX cpu for a good benching.

Flogged the X2 mate... Really liked it too... Dunno why I thought to get rid of it.. There was a reason though, I just can't remember it.

Also the GTX 295 is installed now.. Just couldn't help myself.

I should have waited until the new PSU turns up tomorrow, but I wouldn't have time as the girlfriend is over all weekend. Will have to wait until next week :( .

As for this card, I'll get back to you very soon on whether I get the same issues or if they are gone. Fingers crossed.

Very nice Bungral. Get that card in asap :D

Btw does that cutter work with 3/8 tubing or is it 1/2 upwards?

Anything up to 40mm.. So yeah 3/8 and 1/2 no problems.

They are brill aren't they? I've had around 7 RMA's and 4 have been 3 day turnarounds and the others 4-5. They're the reason I got my Maximus Formula II as well :yumyum:

That's the best option. I was making an Excel spreadsheet of my system and the prices and stuff and I was working out that if it were kitted as an i7 system it'd cost me around £700 more (to get parts that are similiar in performance and aesthetics) but still thats a bloody lot. Try and get a good Q9550 if you can mate, they can easily clock to 4GHz under watercooling.

They can cut any tubing that fits in that hole I think :D

Me I'm poor so guess what I use...

Garden Shears/Pruning Shears :haha:

They provide nice and clean cuts too :D

I remember when I first started watercooling I ordered just the right amount of tubing, no more no less. I tried test cuts to see which gave a nice smooth cut. The butchers knife bounced right off the tubing when I tried :o

Nearly ended up with not enough tubing :D

You wouldn't think stuff like that would be so tough to cut.

You putting that card under water Bungral or leaving it aircooled for now?

Thinking of going water so i can put more voltage through it without worrying about temps.

First things first though... Gotta install new PSU to see if that sorts out a lil squeal and perhaps even do a fresh windows install.
