Hey guys,

I was thinking of doing some sli on my pc but it's really close when you calculate the power it need.

I've got a 500W OCZ psu, an old athlon II X3 thats unlocked and overclocked, a 460, 1hdd, 1 ssd, blueray drive, and about 6 fans.

Psu calc says i've got about 2W left to play with

so now i'm wondering if i should get a second 460, probably a 768 mb one and sli, but than i would have to do the sli hack aswell, or sell the 460 , buy a 560Ti or asus 6950 2gb.

you wont be able to run sli or dual cards with only 2watts left lol I'd go 560Ti that way no psu change will be needed.

i ment i have 2W left when i have done sli, but 560 Ti or 570 is getting more and more likely. Maybe a 6950 which I know can be unlocked..

ahhh so then you'll be running ur psu at 99.98% 24/7 that is also a no-no lol one it'll be loud trying to keep itself cool and two it'll prolly fail quicker. But yeah 560ti or 570 is best bet that way psu can run around the 60-80% mark and be fine
