G.Skill Ripjaws are pretty awesome from what I've heard.

CAS Latency, a.k.a. memory timings, are numbers that indicate clock cycles. The lower/tighter they are the "faster" it technically is.
 
All you really need to know is the lower these "numbers" are the better, and the higher the speed is (mhz) the faster the ram. In most cases the higher the speed the higher the "numbers". Thats why expensive ram is high speed and low "numbers".

So to annswer you question for most users try and find low "numbers" with 1600mhz, thats pretty much all you need. no need for 2000mhz becuase enless you have a bdjillion dollars its far to expensive $380 aus dollars and up tripple chanel.
