I am leaving my parents for studying at board and stay oversea for two years. Therefore, I would like to burn the video about the happy time of my parents and me to DVD and carry with me, so that I could appreciate when I miss them. And I need a kind of software that can directly burn my video, not some complicated DVD burn application. Anybody would be some of help? This video was made by my JAC HD camcorder. Thanks.

You need ImgBurn dude but you will need to convert it to a format for DVD players unless you just want to play it in a PC.
If you want it to play in DVD players then get WinAVI.

Thanks for your advice. Yes, Windows DVD Maker could fulfill this task. But I also would like an application that could convert videos to other formats, so that I could enjoy the videos on my Apple iPad. I searched on Google and found a lot of software, like, Handbrake, WinX HD Video Converter Deluxe, Media Maker etc. However, I don't know which is the best choose for me.
WinAVI is pretty good and fast too tbh.

What the guys have suggested are, I believe, free and easy to use.
The stuff I was gonna suggest is free - but I only just found out they don't actually do the writing to a DVD ! (which is weird, but hey I use drives and networks so wouldn't have known)
Transcoding, media conversion - Format Factory, loves cores. MediaCoder, loves cores and Cuda. MediaCoder is my current favorite as it's both the fastest way to do it and you can actually semi cheat by using the cpu and it's cores to decode the source, which is the easy bit, and soley use Cuda to encode. I guess another benefit is that it has as simple or as complex an interface as you want.
