What do you guys think? I only got it 3 days ago and its only been running in SLI for an hour or so.

Have you tried it in a different monitor? Have you tried a different cable (VGA instead of DVI). Have you tried booting into safemode? Try another graphics chip on the same setup.

Hey.

I've tried both cards and the other card works fine in the same slot.

Monitor is fine, Cable is fine and i cant even load safemode with the broken graphics card in.

Have you tried the other output of the card, and tried a VGA adapter to a VGA monitor (the blue cable). Otherwise I think the card may be FUBARed

I assume you tried it on it's own? And swapped the cards round? If so and still no luck, an RMA is on the way!

The drivers? at the failed to load Windows screen? Nah.

It's FUBAR IMO.

I have had that happen,With Vista,I could not load into windows no matter what,I had to use another card to get into safemode and uninstall all the drivers and then put my card in and re install the vga drivers again. The weird part is even my BIOS screen was messed up.

lol ahhh scans RMA what a trip that was

Heh, seems to be a bit of a palaver at the moment.

Requested RMA through email, 3 days later nothing.

Called them up they take my details and then send me 3 emails, of which one tells me to send it to an address and the other says a courier will come and collect it. So which one do i follow.

Called them back and they tell me to follow the courier one.

Nothing is ever simple.

On the plus side i've now finished my build, ordered my last part today. So will be posting pictures and benchs with overclocking soon.

Right. If you send the card back at your expense and they find nothing wrong with it then you lose the return shipping and they take the original shipping cost back. So all in you lose £15+ VAT. If you are certain the card is dead then you need to reply to one of those emails and schedule a pickup. At which point a courier (DPD here) comes and collects it and takes it back.

I think the £15 is a new thing. It never happened in any of my other 3 RMAs with them in the past (when they used City Link).

Depending on whether they screw me I will be very unlikely to use Scan again. The reasons are on this forum somewhere, but they tend to rely on things that don't exist.

see if this happens in your BIOS. i say if it happens in bios settings you have a problem with it. but there is most definatly something wrong with your video card. this isnt a software error, it doesnt make since that this would be a OS error if it happens in the BIOS.
