Is my Caviar Black dead?

I have another question. Generally it's not a good idea to use a HDD with bad sectors as it will develop more, but I've reformatted it and HD Sentinel and other tools are showing its health @100%.

I wanted to ask if it's safe to use in its current condition or should I just scrap it and move on?

i would proceed with caution (ie: not put sensitive data on it). when a drive starts failing, it is a sign of iminent death.

it may be okay now, but i shouldn't imagine it will be fine for long.

i would use it a backup drive (as there are use seldomly) and buy a new one to replace it.

I was going to put none-sensitive data on it anyway. I have got a crucial M4 to replace it as I don't really need 2TB of storage space, given that I have an external 1.5TB drive. I will proceed with caution :)

Thanks

Hey guys,

I've just installed my Crucial M4. I checked the CrystalDiskMark scores online, but I wanted to check if the scores look OK to you guys.

TIA
