Is it possible ....

... to have a forum section that say - u would need over 50 posts or something to be able to read ? and be able to write to ?

The lines I`m thinking of are nothing conspirital or anything, it`s to do with things like www.amnesya.com , where the OC3D "team" - if u like - can work on it without outsiders "stealing" ;) the answers`n`stuff. (like I`ve stolen hints upto number 15 :p ) but there`s hints available to something like No.32... so obviously most people will now get to 32.

This way we can work together on it and advance further than others - if others can see it, of course they`ll go at the same pace.

What u think ?

Like a hidden forum section for `serious` members to discuss the such competitions without others spying :p

Good idea - although the post count needs to be much higher if its 'serious'...

Like 500 posts

Edit: damn, i'm not a veteran lol

Yeah, I mean the main thing is to be sure it`s possible atm..

But the figure 50 I just threw out as an example, I think 2000 would cut off most of those outside of mod-ship, in which case u`d just use a mod-section.

Some1 scrambling over the net looking for answers isn`t likely to amass 50-100 posts in a time-frame quick enough without being banned :)

Heck, 2000 I gotta make a few more threads !!! lol and I think there are some very serious OC3D members that`d discount tbh, is far too high.

500.... mmmm I dunno, still seems a bit high to me. I`m thinking regular and/or long term members, just so as some1 just can`t google the site for answers if u like.

I consider myself a pretty good member here, but I don't even have 1000 posts yet. I've been here for over a year now :D

I think 1,000 posts would be a good number if were to entertain this idea. It would at least give the members with that many posts a bit of prestige and pride :)

lol, what about a 13,000 barrier? :p

hmm... 1,000 sounds ok.

Thinking about it, the post count isn`t the important thing really. All u`d be looking to do is to have the area as a place the google-hog couldn`t get into - and if some1 happens to hear about, can`t get into without something that`d lead to a ban, i.e. spammage.

Maybe take a look at the members list and just go down as far as the last regular-ish member, who we`d all know, and use that number.

That`s banking of course on the fact that this type of area can be setup by post-count means.
