Is the tracker software becoming very unstable for a lot of people ?

i keep seeing people that need to re-install the software and or have ERRORS wit it

It's definitely become more complex but I haven't found it any less stable yet, not for a while anyway..
 
I'm pretty surprised to be reading about so many people having problems with Tracker. I don't think I've ever had any issues with it...I'm on my 10th bigadv unit in a row (almost 3 weeks of folding) and it's been great for me.

I'm not using it for GPU folding though..
 
GPU Tracker for GPU folding has been nothing but problematic with unstable machine errors on my 480 everytime I turn around regardless of settings stock or overclocked

It has been quite frustrating as of late.

^ this. It will fold for like 2 days straight then I get the unstable machine message for the GPU.

this and what drivers/os are you guys using ?

i have 2x GTX470 both on different machines and both with the latest tracker version,

and i have no problems at all /knocks on wood !!

BTW does i also lock up with these errors ?
 
I'm using the newest tracker and 7 64-bit and forceware 267.24 (beta) it also happened with the latest WHQL drivers as well

I wonder if it's anything to do with the way the Tracker always uses the -oneunit flag and manually starts the tracker again after it finishes/stops unless you tell it to actually Fold -oneunit.

I had a drama with the 3.34 version a couple of weeks ago, 1st time ever so I installed the latest version and it has been fine (fingers and toes crossed). I know they dod include some new update a couple of weeks ago which would only be installed with (new downloads) this was to do with the changes Stanford made to SMP and -bigadv WUs.

If you are still having problems it may be worth installing the latest version if you have not done so already.

i now am having UNSTABLE ERRORS on my GTX460 but there are 2 other GPU´s in there as well

1x GTX260 1x GTX460 and a GTX470 the ERRORS are only on my GTX460, i seriously hope this IS the tracker !!

still need to registr will do right away, BRB

EDIT done ...

EDIT2 going to reverd back to the 3.34 version ..
 
I just switched back to older drivers and gunna see if thats the problem. Bfbc2 crashed twice and crysis hardlocked so i think it may be a driver issue.
 
I just popped in to say that the GPU Tracker has caused me no issues, but then again I have never used it.

Sounds like it is great when when it works, but judging by the negative comments on this fourm I just can't see using it when the good old command line is 100% effective and has no issues with other progies.....
