is 860w enough for 780 SLI OC?

My current setup is: Q9650, Asus GTX 460 DC TOPv2, AX860i, H80i... I won't go into the rest as it doesn't really matter.

However what I'm currently getting is:
MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming
4770k (I think I will stick to 4,6Ghz)
ASUS GTX 780 DCII x2
Dominator GT 2x4GB @ 2133mhz

I will be playing at 1440p and would at least be able to keep these cards for 2-3 years as I'm not a upgrade-once-a-year-type-person.

I'm not sure if I should mention games? I just wanna know if I have any headroom for OCing these cards on this PSU.

860w will be more than enough for all that, provided its a decent make of psu (which yours definately is).

According to Tom in his latest SLI Titan vs. GTX 780 SLI comparison video even a 760 PSU should do the trick.

I'll have a similar setup as you and I will also go for an AX860i and I'll just see what happens

If you're looking to OC past 4400, the Haswell stuff runs hot. I'd get a H100i just to keep the heat down. Better still sacrifice a GTX780 for a few months and shove a custom loop in, if your case can handle it of course.

But to answer your question. Yes that PSU is more than enough!

I'm gonna replace the cheap thermal paste that comes with 4770k. It helped my friends 3770k by a few degrees so I figured I'd do the same. As for fitting a H100i... I'd have to change case or remove the HDD tray, but we'll see once the time arrives.
