could someone please tell me if my 500w Coolermaster Silent Pro Will be Enough To Power My New Graphics Card.

My Current Specs are:

Coolermaster CM690II
EVGA H55V
Intel Core I5 650 (Yeah i know it old but it works and does the job for now anyway)
1TB Hitachi HDD
500GB Samsung (Boot Drive)
12GB Corsair Vengeance Ram(Overkill But it looks Good)
1GB Gigabyte Graphics Card (forgot the model number)

What I Want To Do!

I am upgrading my graphics card to an Asus 7950and need to know if my current PSU will Be able to Handle It.I am Going to Be Individually Braiding each and every single one of my PSU cables and dont want to spend £60 on braid for the power supply to go bang when i plug it in.

Thank You and i hope you understand what i mean.

Thanks in advanced.

Robbie:)

should be good enough, probably looking at 400w max draw, so 500w psu will ensure its not stressing the rails too much

think he already owns the cm unit, and was just linking to a shop for the details lol

Yeah I Do, Ill Be Doing a Project Log on it, Cos im stripping it bare, sleeving the cables cleaning it up and new GPU.

Any one wanna guess what age i might be. Ill give a cookie if you guess right!

I'll go for 12

Because My Dad Is Self Employed With His Own Business I can Go With Him On The Weekends I Get A Tenner For 5 Hours on A Saturday, Its Not Alot, But it Does Me Fine, and I Get a Fiver Pocket money so 60 Pounds per month for a few months pays most stuff,

Cool :)

looking at your specs it looks like youve got a pretty beastly pc yourself

Yup it is pretty beastly :). I only recently got into the whole "pc building" scene so it was a massive step up from my previous system. Once I go back to Uni I'm planning on upgrading a few bits and bobs :p
