Iphone 5 - what do you think of it?

Hey guys,

as most of you may know, iphone 5 or 4s, what ever its going to be called is being announced on October 4th.

I'll clear it up from now, i am a APPLE FANBOY and yes i will be picking one up when it launches

I just want to know your thoughts on the device, if your going to be getting one, what features you think apple are going to include etc.

I am an Apple fanboy myself and I can't wait for i5!!!

As far as features go, it's hard to say, there was a lot of speculation about some pretty cool features, stuff like built in wireless charging, etc but I don't think we're going to see stuff such as that. Last I heard we may not even see 4G in the i5 due to interference it's causing with Government satellites or some such craziness.

I am just looking forward to the dual core A5 and increased RAM plus the launch of iOS5. All of those things working in synchrony should be a thing of absolute beauty.

Me too! iOS5 is excellent, can't wait to try it out on faster hardware.

From what I have read, we may get two new phones. The iPhone 5 being the true successor to the 4 and the iPhone 4S being a cheaper model. I will have an iPhone 5 on release day unless it's a total pile, but I doubt that.

Knowing apple, i don't think the new iphone will be a disapointment

I must have been lucky. I pre-ordered my iPhone 4 online directly from AT&T. Their site got absolutely hammered, but I kept hitting F5 until it finally worked. A friend of mine walked into an AT&T about an hour after they started selling them. He was like number 3 in line lol. Unfortunately, AT&T's in-store systems are linked to their web system so it took him over 2 hours to be able to check out. At least he got his phone though.

I'll try to pre-order again, but if I can't get through I will wait in line at an AT&T store (no Apple stores up here).

I am going to stick with my iphone 4 IOS5 will be released on it soon enough anyways. Besides the great thing about apple is I can stick with an iphone for YEARS and it runs just like it were new and plays all the latest stuff unlike their competitor

That is true, even though its not the latest after a few years there products just work just like new.

knowing me, i'll most likely get a new one every time one comes out

Have you tried using an original iPhone? They suck. Slow slow slow. I used my old iPhone for 2 years before I got my iPhone 4. The screen is horrible and again, it's slow. I still like my iPhone 4, but it feels slow to me now after seeing some newer Android phones.
 
Yeah the 4 is starting to seem a little slow and I think it's a lack of memory more than anything else. It also gets a bit swamped down after you jailbreak. I don't have any special themes or anything on mine but have a few background things like HapticPro that I feel can't possibly help the phone be any faster, lol.

The 5 should be a breath of fresh air for iPhone users!

The iphone 5 will be much better, they are now even saying it may come with 1gb ram, double that of the ipad 2, so it will be blazing fast along with the dual core processor from the ipad 2.

I'm not a fan of android phones, i've had many problems with them

if they bring out the iphone 5 with 1gb ram and 64gb of storage, that would be very sweet and I would go for that but i think 32gb will be the highest

Yeah, me too. 64GB would be nice though. I made the mistake of buying a 16GB iPhone 4. My music alone takes over half the space. I have an iPad which helps because I put all the games on that instead of my phone.
 
I always buy the smallest capacity iPhone. I have over 250gb of music and if I can't fit it all then no need to spend extra money for space I won't use. I only put a few of my top favorite bands on and 16gb seems to be plenty for me.
