I need to build a comp with as little $$$ as possible. The 915 is about $117 and the C2D is $191.

Is the C2D worth almost double? I have always built with AMD so I am worthless when it comes to Intel stuff.

I feel the 915 is better than the 805, but the specs look close when I compare the 915 to the C2D..I know I must be missing something but I am not sure what it is. Thanks, Mark

u no how amd destroyed the intel's before? those core2's detroy amd's, it will be better in the longrun if u get the core2

Im REALLY strapped, but I would hate to waste $$$ on a CPU (heart of the system) thats not very good . Thanks Guys..

Is that the best price you can get for a 6300?

Theres only about a £40 differnce in the UK between that and a 915

You need to remember the conversion rate man. 40GBP is actually $78, which is a GREATER difference than the $74 he mentioned.

£191 is a lot...surely you can get a 6300 for very close to that?

We're talking USD here, not GBP ;)

BTW mark, you can get a e6300 for $6 cheaper at ZZF :p

Ok I sold ALL of my Video Cards and CPUs and memory, lol..

I bought a C2D 6300 at Newegg last night for $160 and I got a Biostar Tforce 965PT ($67 Openbox). I didnt go SLI for $$$ and I was thinking about the 8800GTS. But at least I can start building the new case around the mobo.

I was gonna get the Asus P5D-E Plus that Kempez reviewed but it was a little $$$ for my budget.

I am also hoping the mobo is like my last Biostar mobo (it was 1/2" shorter than the DFI) as it will make the case even smaller.

I still need to get memory so I am looking for a deal on some DDR2...

Thanks for the link, I checked it out I really like Geil but its too much $ for me ( I still need to buy a GPU and build the case, so I will have to find some kind of a deal..

You should like that board, I hear it clocks very very well for the price. The Tforce is Biostars one shining line of boards :)

Thanks guys and Frag, this is the fourth Tforce mobo I have had. They all have been flawless.

For OCing the DFI Expert RULES...

BUT for simple people like me (OCer challanged, lol) the TForce line is so dam nice. I click 1 button in the Bios and it speeded my 3700+ and Opty148 from their 2200Mhz to 2750Mhz and I ran them at that 24/7..

What I am really excited about is the Video Card, I have time to wait till Jan to see what happens (while I am building the case)
