Intel 910/915 Chipset Demise

Intel is having a cleanout and has scheduled the end of the Intel 910/915 chipset production. Onward, all chipset models will support Dual Core, and 910/915 is to be replaced by 945GC upcoming in Q2 2007. It certainly seems like Intel are dropping subtle hints to move to dual-core. With dual cores getting so cheap, I think this is a step in the right direction really. Why go single core when you can go with a nice dual core for nearly the same price. The E6300 at $180 is a friggin' steal!

Yeah agreed Frag. With the proliferation of Pent D's and cheap lower clocked Conroe's, it certainly makes a lot of sense.
