Improve my air flow?

I've recently be thinking that i don't have the greatest air flow possible for my setup.

I've currently got a Noctua NH-U12F CPU cooler with the fan on the right hand side of the CPU pulling Air from the intakes at the front and out to the back exhaust fans.

Now is this the ideal way of doing things? I do have quite a miss match of fans and i just dont think its pulling air through the case correctly.

Should the fan for the Noctua NH-U12F be on the other side and pulling the hot air away from the CPU instead of pushing air on to it?

The image attached is the basic current setup i have atm

I`d stick with pushing onto it, as in u`r diagram. The 2 fans exiting the system will whip it straight out.

The concern I`d have with putting it on the otherside would be that it may fight for air with u`r psu - can u show where the psu is situated and what sort of fans it has ?

Urm, maybe an exhaust fan on top? And an intake on the bottom (if your case has feet)?

Tbh that looks fine too me....

My PSU (some fancy module one, i've forgot the brand) has a 120mm fan at the bottom which pull air up into the PSU but it does not have a fan at the back just a grill which lets the air flow out of it naturally

I just have this feeling that the PSU is fighting with the exhausts

That is indeed correct as the hot air rises from the front of the case out to the back at the top

You could get some new fans and see how you go?

The fans i have a fairly new although not too powerfull, its not like my temps are that bad in my case.

Im just wanting to make sure im making the most out of the new cooler, i guess i could remove the back 2x80mm fans and stick another 120mm on the cooler as its close enough to the rear of the case to act as a exhaust.

at the moment you pretty much have the best setup for your cpu, cold ait coming from the bottom of your case into your cpu cooler, then the hot air rising away..

the only problem you have is that the psu in intaking the hot air that comes out of your cpu. ill have to check with xms on this one,as im not sure how much of a difference that makes, but if it is major, it might be worth looking into it, perhaps changing one of the exhaust fans to intake...

Im sure the PSU will be fine, end of the day its still alive after i switched it over to US power without knowing and plugged it in :D

From my experience heat builds up right where I have attemped to spray paint.

I am considering either drilling a vent hole or putting a fan there. :)

I found this too.. After putting a fan on the top my case temp droped by about 5c. I would advise getting a mesh fan cover on the top, god knows how many screws i have lost in mine until i put a mesh over the fan.

My case isn't the best for cooling (coolermaster cavalier 3) and recently I purchased a Scythe Kama bay to place on the front of the Pc (takes up 3 x 5.25" bays). I did change the fan too as the Scythe fan is just rubbish. I used a Hiper fan instead andit has definitely made a difference to my CPU temps.

They were around 49-51oC on Load, but now it's been 46, possibly 47oC tops on load.

My graphics card is still hotter then I like though. I think the Kama just passes air through and directly into the CPU HSF (AC freezer 64pro) and then it goes out the back through the coolermaster (rather crappy) rear fan or the PSU air flow exit.

My lian-li case has front, top and rear fans although they are puny 80mm versions and I've noticed that just having the top blow hole helps improve the ambient temps within the case, the fan doesn't even have to be running.
