Hi everybody,

My name's Guy, I live in Japan doing software dev/IT. And getting PC parts at insanely low prices due to the current exchange rate.

Tom's videos brought me here initially, but I also found lots of help on overclocking here on the forums, and that keeps me coming back daily.

Cheers to all who lend a hand and I look forward to many cheeky responses in the future!

Hey Mumbles37, welcome to OverClock3D

Please do elaborate on how your sourcing your extremely cheap parts? You buying straight from the supplier or just a cheap US store like newegg?

Thanks guys

Yeah, sometimes it works out best to buy from a place like newegg--the yen is really strong so I end up paying much less than I would if I were paying with dollars. But suppliers and retailers here get the parts cheaper too, so that comes back to customers. Paid the equivalent of US$180 for my i7-950 brand new. And I could get a Radeon 6970 for probably $250... can't go wrong

So anyways, I'm not doing anything sneaky, just benefitting from a strong yen.
