i5 or i3 for home server

So I've been doing a little bit of research for a new home server I plan to build.

My situation:

I don't have a spare graphics card and i don't want to buy one for a computer that'll only probably use it once

So I need a CPU with onboard graphics

Hence I'm limited to the i5-6xx range or the i3

I was thinking that I should probably get an i5-6xx range until I stumbled on some reviews saying they weren't worth it

So can anyone help suggest a few CPU's they think would be best bang for buck? (and if you're really bothered, a motherboard would be nice =D)

Thanks to all those willing to help out a poor not up-to-date soul like me =D

Aye i3 is fine and then you dont need a dedicated graphics card. i3 is overkill if anything, there is also the AMD GX chipsets as they have integrated video and that way you get the choice of a wider range of CPU's. AMD do some nice low wattage dual cores.

Id still go with the i3 though

Is this website running off your server that you made videos of?

LOL no mate, we have two and they are our own hand built rigs but they run from proper data centre, Im pretty sure we have a 100MB upload ATM but we have a new website server we are getting ready to install. The new rig with be 2x Hexcore Xeons and 24GB of RAM.

A home server and a website server (for a site as busy as OC3D) are completely different kettles of fish dude.
