QuietOne always shouting Sep 2, 2013 #1 It shows up on Windows and BIOS but if you do a file transfer, small or large the transfer speed fluctuates between 300KB/s and 1.2MB/s on SATA3 =\ Tried to benchmark it and it has been stuck on "Preparing for sequential write" for the last 15mins.

Remmy New member Sep 2, 2013 #2 I assume you've tried things like Disk Cleanup, and defragging it? Maybe even try reformat it before you go buying another one

QuietOne always shouting Sep 2, 2013 #4 It's either a dodgy connection, dodgy SATA cable or dodgy SATA port, I reseated the cables for that HDD and it now works fine again =\

QuietOne always shouting Sep 2, 2013 #8 Not yet but I have a cable handy if it plays up again, due to the mATX form factor, I would have to remove the GPU to get to the other SATA ports. Well it would be easier to do a cable swap with the GPU removed too.
