Good day to all,
i need to overclock my AMD athlon 64 x2 dual core 5200+,i have the following specs:
MOBO: Biostar TF570 SLI A2
RAM: 4x1Gb
PSU: ISONIC 500W
GPU: nvidia 9600GT 1Gb
CPU: AMD athlon 64 x2 5200+
Now i see my CPU must run 2.6Ghz stock but it's running at 2.7Ghz (can it be my MOBO maybe)
i will like to run the CPU at 3.0Ghz stable on the stock cooler if that is ok (don't have money for a new cooler)
do you guys maybe know what stable temps are at full load,i am running at 60C idling is that bad?
on the bios there is a overclocking panel with options of Manuel,V6,V8,V12, if i go with the V6 i get lower clock speeds,if i set it to V8 and V12 i get i bios warning when i restart my PC saying voltage to high go to bios and change,Now what can i do to get the 3.0Ghz out of my CPU and how do i do it,i'm neeew to OC'ing a CPU but will like to learn.
Where will i start of with this?
Thanks for helping.
