Ground dosn't matter really but its nice to keep a left and right pair.

And obviously youll be mesuring from the female connectors on the PSU.

Isn`t it right Ham that all the Reds from the psu are 5v, blacks are 0v, yellows 12v, orange 3.3v ? .. not sure on the others, probably negative values.

What happens when u turn it on ?

i see my fan's spin around for 2 sec (not in af to get to ful speed wath it usuly does) en then it goes douwn and woun't come on again, i have to shut the power for 15min then i turn power on I DON"T pres the start button i see fan spin for 2 sec and again it goes down. so thats why i need to see of my power suply gives some voltages if not i buy new one if not my motherboard is broken

Yep thats right. Molex is just an easy place to measure it as the DMM probes fit right it (or everyone ive ever used has).

hey guys it's ben a week nouw and i stil havent found the solution for my problem i have bouth a new psu but it stil does this: i see my fan's spin around for 2 sec (not in af to get to ful speed wath it usuly does) en then it goes douwn and woun't come on again, i have to shut the power for 15min then i turn power on I DON"T pres the start button i see fan spin for 2 sec and again it goes down . i have cheked some parts of my pc like hdd,ram,dvd-rw and those things work does sameone know wath's wrong with my pc ??? plz helm me i'm desprite now

So, just so we fully understand:

- You plug the power cable into the PSU, the fans spin then go off?

- Pressing the on button at this point does nothing?

- You have tried a new PSU and checked HDD, Ram, DVD-RW.

I had odd problems with switching on my PC before and I found that it was the motherboard. You should be able to get ahold off a cheap socket A motherboard on ebay or something - If that fails then it could be the processor...

just a trick that once worked for me....right

turn your psu on, then turn your pc on, it should flash on for a second, or two, right?

then take the power cable from the psu, and turn your pc on at the front (bear with me) it might flash for a second...

then turn the switch on the back of the psu off, plug the power cable in, wait about 5 - 10 seconds, then turn it on, and turn your pc on at the front...

see if that works

used to fix old hiper psu's :)

i have tryed that with new psu unit and it stil don't work so wath do you guys think is my cpu douwn or my motherboard??

Unless you are able to test your chip in another board, or try a different chip in your board, you won't be able to tell for definate...

Why not look into getting a socket 939 chip and motherboard, cheap as chips nowadays!

Did you muck about with the bios before it went down? Made you left the Clear CMOS jumper on "Clear" and so it now won't boot?

i haven't done nothing with CMOS never moved that jumper and didn't do anything with my bois i only know that problem strated wiht psu (i think it was short-circuit ) and that my ram,hdd and videocard works things that i could test work on other pc but not in mine
