You two have totally made my week. I've got a badass toothache, an ear infection and work is shit, but coming home to see you guys duking it out on here each night has given me not only a massive sense of pride in the Team once again but also tickled me something fierce!

You won't have to if I keep doing silly stuff like leave my 2500K on three cores all night like last night. I set it to 3 cores so I don't lose performance while gaming, but I forgot to switch it back.

I shouldn't complain though, I had my highest production day ever yesterday.

I got an overclock on my dual 5160s using setfsb. Up from 3ghz to 3.2ghz.

Since I'm in a folding dual I can't afford to see how far it will be pushed but I guess the memory would be the first thing to throw errors.

This is looking good for the Dual 5345s which are 2.33 stock.

Edit:

I just said stuff it and whacked the FSB upto 366 to give me basicaly 3.3ghz

Now to watch and wait to see if it's stable.

I used the ICS932S401EGLF clock generator, with the ultra box ticked.

I saw that the site said I will need to know the computer or motherboard name and the chipset. But I don't know where that really came in as any help.

I simply searched the 'ReadMe' for the 5000X chipset and that found an update from 2008 saying it added 4 clock gens and support for the 5000X chipset.

So it was a process of elimination lol

This is the first time I have ever got setfsb to work because it and my brain just don't get along.

And while I was at the PC looking at that, I bumped the FSB up another 4mhz to give me 9x370 (3333mhz). This is awesome!

rig but i got it for a awesome price (computer store i worked for) ,

that's why i didn't know what cooling it had and I still don't know

, pics later........

al i knew was, it had a GTX580 but i thought 2x ..just one the other one is in order ...

i'll put my GTX560 under it...

That's a nice piece of kit. Who cares what name is on the front when it's packing that gear!!

I have backed my overclock down to 3.3ghz. I ran a quick prime 95 and one of the cores chucked an error.

I'm going to put the 2ghz processors back in there before I try the quads because that will be the best chance I have to find out where the chipset or memory gives up.

400mhz FSB would be extremely nice but the target I will be very happy with is 380... 14mhz more than it's running at the moment. I should be in with a shot, depending on how taxing two quads are on the chipset.

It's not that prduction has dropped. To keep up the rate of gain I gad on you, I would have needed to pretty much double your increase. As it stands I don't think I even matched your increase.

If I'd have got my dads and brothers PCs in on the action sooner it would have been closer.
