Hi, im OC'ing a 3570k for a friend, on air using a Coolermaster V8.
now, i could only get the cpu to 4.3 because it took 1.34v and IBT on very high was peaking at 96 degrees.
So
4.3 @ 1.34v LLC High
now that that past OCCT, P95 for 24 hours and IBT very high 20 passes i thought i would play with DVID.
normal voltage to the cpu is 1.190v - 1.340 = a difference of 0.155 so i put that in DVID.
I have so far been able to get the DVID down to 0.350v @ 4.4!!!!
CPUZ shows a Vcore voltage under load of 1.296v. temps are much lower because of it.
So why using a fixed Vcore do i have to run at:
4.3 @ 1.34v but using DVID i can run at
4.4 @ 1.296v
1.190v normal plus 0.035 DVID
i think the Dvid will have to go up slightly once i get to fine tuning it but why this is working is baffling me. Can someone much more knowledgeable enlighten me please.
Thank you
