HWMonitor VCORE & VID?

Hi again

Sorry, another question...

Can someone please explain to me what VCORE and VID are as displayed by HWMonitor?

I was under the impression that 'vcore' is what my bios shows as CPU core voltage - the voltage I've adapted the most through my overclocking process. This is what CPU-Z reports as the 'core voltage', it matches when I change it.

But HWMonitor shows whatever value I enter for the 'CPU core voltage' as the 'VID'. Meanwhile it reports 'VCORE' as something else on my motherboard, at a rate that's much higher than the 'VID'. Is this VCORE in HWMonitor the CPU input voltage? Or something else?

I've attached 2 screencaps for reference, one at stock and one at my current clock (with a 1.2v core voltage and CPU input voltage of 1.950v)

Cheers
Mike

Wicked, in that case I won't, cheers Tom :) It's an Asus Z87-Plus. I know the bios options and terminology can differ between brands, but it was just the term 'VCORE' seemingly being used in to refer to different things that confused me. All good though!

Awesome videos by the way too - I've been watching them for a good while on and off, and I've picked up tons from them :) Cheers!
