Hey guys, today I come to you in need, unfortunately. I have just been informed that we have a new Wireless ISP in the area that will be able to offer us faster service without download limits that will actually let me start playing games once again (no FPSage is killin' me, NEED CSS!).

I recently contacted HughesNet to inquire on our early termination fee which includes the remaining balance of the hardware which we decided not to purchase up-front. This is what I was told....

[Jun 14 2007 7:44:18 AM] Welcome to our chat customer support .

[Jun 14 2007 7:44:22 AM] Matthew, you have been connected to Marlon

Marlon(Jun 14 2007 7:44:37 AM): Thank you for contacting HughesNet Billing Support. My name is Marlon. I appreciate the opportunity to assist you.

Matthew(Jun 14 2007 7:44:47 AM): Hello

Marlon(Jun 14 2007 7:45:09 AM): Hi Matthew, I understand you want to know the Early Termination Fee, is that correct?

Matthew(Jun 14 2007 7:45:17 AM): I am thinking about switching from HughesNet to a new local wireless internet provider. Can you tell me what the early termination fees would be if I decided to do so?

Marlon(Jun 14 2007 7:45:37 AM): Okay, please bear with me, I am now pulling up your account.

Matthew(Jun 14 2007 7:45:45 AM): Thank you.

Marlon(Jun 14 2007 7:48:04 AM): Thank you for patiently waiting. Please be informed that an Early Termination Fee amounting to $700 will be applied if you will cancel your service.

Marlon(Jun 14 2007 7:48:16 AM): Is there anything else I can help you with?

Matthew(Jun 14 2007 7:48:24 AM): Ok, and that will cover everything, the remaining equipment costs and all?

Marlon(Jun 14 2007 7:48:37 AM): Yes Matthew.

Matthew(Jun 14 2007 7:48:50 AM): Perfect, thank you for finding that out for me. Have a great day.

Matthew(Jun 14 2007 7:49:20 AM): Ok, thank you.

Yes, $700. Now, luckily for me I have a room mate which will be splitting the difference. That makes my half of the fee $350.

The service we will be switching to is Virginia Broadband. The equipment and activation cost is $299, my half being $150.

So... $350 + $150 = $500 is what I need. I come to you generous OC3D folk for your support in helping me reach this goal! I pledge that once the new service is installed I shall game the nights away with you all on the OC3D CSS servers once again like I did many moons ago before Hughes!

Any donation amount is greatly appreciated, obviously the more the merrier! I will update this threads with donation makers names and amounts (unless you wish to remain anonymous) and keep a running total of the amount raised.

Help your poor local gamer out, I don't have the funding because recently an important woman in my life stripped me of thousands of dollars, a car, a computer, a proposed ring, and my soul... Stupid biiiiiiii... Anyhow, please donate!!! :worship:

Yeah sorry mate, I don't know of any other ways?

Frag a Solo card is basically a debit card for anyone over a certain age (pretty young now, like 13 i think) which simply lets you spend what you put in there in shops and most online stores. No credit.....thank god

That's cool mate, so basically it's a UK based debit card?

Yea man, it's basically the most useful thing in any under 18s wallet (providing there is some money in your account).....Nearly anyway

Ive had a card since i was 15. Ive bought things like refrigeration supplies, computer component's and tools with it. Just cos your young dosn't mean you don't have money and things too spend it on tbh.

And the legal age is 18, you can served at about 14/15.
