How to get involved in benching

Hey Guys,

I have finally got my new rig up and running and want to start getting into benching (just need to figure out RAM issue)

I see that below some peoples profiles that they are part of OC3D team?

How do you join?

Must you get a certain score to join?

Are there rules?

Also I am hearing about HW BOT or some thing like that, what is it and must I register?

Thanks Guys

Hey Guys

Im registered now what?

I see that there are alot of different benchmarks out there

Could some body please post links to download all the different benchmarks

I have 3D Mark Vantage and 3D Mark 06

Also could somebody tell me how to submit a score?

Thanks Guys

One more prob I have, ATM my rig is only picking up 4gigs of ram not 6gigs

I put a thread here

Will this effect my scores and if so by how much?

Thanks

Mikrouwel

most scores 4gb instead of 6gb not by much if at all, speed/timings would probably affect some of them more than total ammount.

On the left side of the HWbot site if you scroll down a little there will be a list of all the benchmarks, if you click one it will take you to that benchmarks page, from there there should be tabs near the top of the page, 2 of them will be "rules" and "download" click the download to get a link to the program/benchmark and the rules will tell you any settings you may need to enter/specify into the benchmark to make it valid/legal.

yep or just click on submit score and then you can choose what benchmark you wanna submit and then also fill in the other detials.

it even shows you a screen shit of what needs to be in there.

3DMARK 05,06,11

aqua mark

CPU-z for suicide runs

gpu-z for suicide runs

super pi

pifast

there the main ones i woudl say mate

with a fast dual core 3dmark 01 03 and 05 would be better than 6 and 11 as they love the quads.

with an e8600 and 8800gt being common componants i bet you will score points in most benches if you can push them hard enough.

as said it shows you what you need to screenshot for your submissions but for the most part its 2 cpuz windows with 1 cpu tab and 1 memory tab open and a gpuz for the 3d tests.
