Hi guys, so I just installed a new SSD, patriot PS-100 64gig. Installed Windows 7 ultimate 64bit on it. I also have two other hard-drives in my computer and would like to set up the OS on the SSD and other stuff such as media and programs on the other HDs.

How can I set up so I have the choice of installing a program on the SSD or on the HD...

Also I read an article about changing all the User info from my SSD to my HD with the required registry changes, is that a good idea?

I plan on moving my documents my music my pictures etc folders to my HD. This can be done by going into properties and move option right?

Thanks again for your help, you guys always help me out.

You can just install the o/s as you have on the ssd then set your other hard drive as a new partition giving it D as the drive letter, u can then either change the default path that you install to D:\Program Files\ in the registry or you can just change the path manually when installing programs.

In Windows7 you can also setup libraries so you can say put all your music onto the D:\ drive and then just go to libraries and add your music as a folder. The libraries option is also very good if you are sharing files with other puters via homegroups.

The libraries options also allows you too search for files across homegroups and on the machine they reside on which I find very good for music, as I can search for music shared on my server from my laptop and play them on the laptop!

Hope this helps :)

Thats what I do, Got my OS installed on a Raptor 74GB, and all my games/music/pics etc are on my other HDD (250GB)
