Resident Newb
I'm quite keen on the idea of playing with friends in a post apocalyptic world, But really how bad is FO76 ?
When you die do you lose all your stuff ?
When you die do you lose all your stuff ?
Wraith is your guy. Hopefully I should know in a couple of weeks.
Seems to be a marmite game. People either love it or absolutely hate it. Have yet to see any comments on a mid ground.
Will your build be ready then ?
I'm on the fence about buying it, Can pick it up for £20, I'm oooohing and arrrring about it ^_^
New patch just landed and the servers are currently down for a major update. I'll report back a little later with news. As for the state of game we're all smashing it and enjoying every minute, it has it's glichy moments but that's just Fallout.
There is a million Youtubers all slagging it off desperate for hits.
What cracks me up a bit is how they say "I've played it for 35 hours and it sucks".
Wait. You played it for thirty five hours and didn't like it?
Dang, if I get 35 hours out of it I will be well happy. Not many games can do that these days.
Thing is though it's an online game meant for co-op, I can almost guarantee a lot of the bad reviews are from people who played it mostly on their own, Even then they should realise an online game with this type of HUGE map will get a plethora of updates, Quality of life updates, Map expansions etc... WoW in the early days, Just as an example, Was utter tosh, Now look at it.
It all depends what you are looking for, dude. If you go into it expecting nothing you will have fun.
Everything wrong with it? it will get fixed. FO4 was positively horrible on launch. Anything further than about 100ft in the distance was blurred to all heck. Then all of a sudden they launch a patch and it's as clear as a bell. And what would you know? FO76 looks exactly the same.
FO4 now is an amazing game to play. It's been polished a lot, and it really shows. I expect the exact same from 76. I heard the music is fantastic as usual, too, so I have that and many hours of just mooching around to look forward to. For me a FO game is 60% about the quests and stories and then 40% of discovering every nook and cranny. So I doubt I will be disappointed. I always knew I would probably not like FO online, right from 2008 when it was being rumoured.
Hoping it gets the Gamedoesn'twork treatment, too. But aye, as soon as my PC powers up I will be installing it so I will give you a holler as my pal in the USA is waiting on me basically.
I expect a lot more than 35 hours from a game and so far have Arma 2 120 hours, Arma 3 230 hours, HOI 4 555 hours, Sniper Elite 150 hours, Warhammer 1 413 hours, Warhammer 2 577 hours and wargame franchise 300 hours.
Played it for an hour solo, Entertaining so far although I can tell the level grind is going to get boring very qickly and the none optional PvP is going to get annoying quickly.
That is why you need to do it with a friend.
