Hot laptop

I know a lot of laptops get hot at the base, but with mine i notice that most of the heat is coming from the hdd area, in general it runs at around 50-ish degrees, which is pretty hot and can go hotter if in a lot of use.

This is probably not healthy for it, i was wondering is there any way of getting it cooler?

btw its a dell inspiron 6000 with 80Gb 5400rpm dirve.

Nope that is normal, my Tecra's SATA drive runs at 60 or more, burns the fuck out of my wrist. I take a paper towel, fold it in 4 and put my wrist on that

Man well thats one problem the industry needs to sort out about laptops, obviously we dont want a huge reduction in performance, but if its like you are typing on an oven whats the point!!! lol

Just don't use it on your lap all the time or you may lose the ability to reproduce hehe
