Ok, all seems well after a couple of days running. Lowest temps I can get are -6c full load, -22c idle with room temp at around 25c and prommie display showing -44c. Prescott 3.2 @ 4.2, 1.44vcore.

Damn,them prescotts run hot, its well warm here (near london) today,i got a 3.2c at 4.2 with 1.75v,running prime,my cpu is -15C (according to mbm5) and GT display is -51. Looks like you've about overcome your contact issues though.

The Prescotts are very toasty, good overclockers though.

Yeap thickbrit, I think things are looking 'ok' now. Quite happy so far . As things stand, it's 100% prime95 x2 + 3dmark stable so I may try to eek some more after a good run in .
