Hitman whilst using fraps

Hey all,

I can play Hitman (sniper challenge) perfectly fine by itself, with 60fps. However, when I start to record at either 30 or 60fps (obviously worse at 60). The frame rate completely drops (sometimes goes as low as 10). Any idea why this does this? Is it to do with the ram? (Have 8GB).

Yeah I am.

I'm using my SSD for saving the files onto (have a HDD being delivered very soon).
