Highest CPU overclocks when using a stock cooler

best to overclock cool whats the point in o/cing for performance when you are degrading the life span of that cpu with such high temps, it really is recommended that you get a after market cooler but its up to you dont be to hasty with your equipment just to say you did it.

EDIT

unless you want to set benchmarks

but wit stock no...

i've been overclocking my cpu since '06(since purchase) and it is the ONLY component that i still have in my rig(that was in the first rig)...i changed a dozen PSU-s, 3 graphic cards, 3 MB-s(+RAM DDR->DDR2->DDR3) and the cpu(with stock cooler) is still standing...so if you are lucky your cpu will last for a long time, if not, well...it won't

About the "such high temps" part.. Yes, I do go up to 85 with Optimus Prime 95.

BUT. Today I've been multitasking a bit, and playing Minecraft. Highest temp 66, right now 47 with 2 mozilla clients, winamp, core temp and and other stuff on the background. I don't think that 47 - 66 degrees fuck my shit up too badly. And I'm getting Hyper 212 EVO next week, and go to atleast 4.5Ghz.
