High temps on 3770k idle.

Hey all. Finally built my new rig but I am curious as to why the temps on my CPU are so high?

Its only idle and I am getting around 60 c which I know is definitely not right. Not to mention my house is cold right now (north of England in December). Possible that I've not put enough thermal paste or that I'd put the heatsink on incorrectly? Thats all I can think it is....

Using DH14 with corsair 200mm pulling front and pushing top and a Noctua F12 pushing back.

Everything from the build has went ok so far, so really wanna get these temps sorted so I can start installing games and testing this out.

This is solved. I kinda just did what you guys said already (and what I kinda said in my OP) and just resat it.

I realised I had sat it wrongly when I went back to look and added a little bit more paste as there really wasn't a lot on it. Now getting 30 idle! :)

Which is the best way to test my system under load? Still prime95?

gotta say those temps still seem a little high for idle, on my 3770k and DH14 i was getting 19-23 idle. and mine wasnt a great chip
