HI guys I am getting a pc for christmas please can you tell me what parts to get

My budget is £500 and Please tell me what kind of pc sff or tower thanks for your imput

Kemp asked some good questions... Here's a few parts to start off the ramblings that I would be looking at:

-AMD Opteron 146

-DFI LanParty Ultra-D

-1gb of Samsung based high speed memory

-BFG 6800GT OC

-Thermalright XP-90C

-OCZ Powerstream 520 psu

-2x SATA 2 hd's for RAID 0

-DVD-RW

-Lian Li PC-65 case

That should be somewhere in the price range specified pending needing a monitor, etc.

THanks for the ideas I will use the comp for multitasking and gaming I can't really specify what i am going to play because i play everything also I do need a monitor but the £500 is for the pc not monitor please help

I think it comes up to about 450 so um I may need a better mobo and i need a duelcore soreally I can strech the budget to 550 but that is the max

ask yourself if you really need dualcore? when do you actually do 2 procesor intensive tasks at the same time.

i went thru the same dilemma, and in the end realised i didnt really need one. im not trying to put you off, as they are great but just consider if you could get a better single core cpu for the same price.

I think this is really good for me but I nedd about 500gb hd and a better modo like a dfi expert or asus mobo

If you have a bit to spare with that setup then go with the DFI SLI Expert mobo and a pair of 250gb SATA II HD's to RAID. That should get you rockin' and rollin'!

Thanks can somebody please caculate the cost of the updated version of my future pc thanks because somehow my caculator got smashed anyway do you think I should trade in the video card for later and get a better cpu or get a better everything else and get a amd venice 300 oem btw is the 9500 or big tyfoon better than the xp 90c

NO the xp-90c is the best, get an opteron man dont worry about venice

I'll sell ya an XP-90 Doesn't come with Pana though, I had to jack that for my ghetto ram fan mod... yesterday I actually added a second ghetto fan to my rig, I tied up an 80mm fan to the corner of the 92 and have it dangling over the PWMIC's, muahhaa.

When that time comes I suggest just starting from the ground up... I'm thinking about phasing my rig again, and if I do it, I'm going to get a new case, remod it all, get a new mobo, and start from the beginning.

And you wouldnt want to buy my XP-90, trust me The shipping alone on it would be more than what you could buy it for and have it posted to you for over in the UK, lol.
