Thanks guys. I'm looking forward to seeing what temps I'll get. Overkill? Yes totally. It'll all be worth it when I get 40c load temps overclocked :').
Depending on noise I'll even add a GPU to the loop at some point. Something low heat, like a 750ti/whatever the next gen brings to the table.

Contemplating doing my first water cooled build soon. Watching with interest to see how that kit of yours all comes together.

Update 2

Update 2:

On the day my Pentium arrived I set to work. Things didn't go 100% according to plan. Sadly I did not have a couple of the fittings I needed (2x 90 degree) so there was no way I could actually fill and finish the loop. I also had the wrong psu (I'm using the RM 550 from my other new build) and I had also bought the wrong 24pin cable. I quite like the plain white of these cables so I'm probably going to use these and instead get some proper cables for my itx rig.
While I wait for those bits I thought I'd get round to changing the bit of the GPU that was orange to blue. I'm aware someone else has already done this on the forum and I'll link it when I find it.

Anyway, to work.

Around 8 coats of plastidip (a f**king amazing creation, its great to know I can peel it off if the job isn't satisfactory) later: (It actually looks really bad in this shot but its not that bad, promise)

Here is what the rig currently looks like, cabling is still in its infancy so apologies. All that is missing is the OS, better piping for the CPU->Rad (Spot the kink, kinkmeisters!) and the connection between the rad->res.

(The kink looks bad here)

Also, this is shot with a crappy point n shoot. Better than the iphone?

I should also clear up the H97 issue. Asrock actually have made the h97 'boards support overclocking. Whether it's actually any good at OCing we'll see.
Until next time,

Coming along quite nicely ;) I did spot the kink now you come to mention it, it's certainly a tight kink from the rad, but... get that rad, it's huuuuuge!

glad you plasticoted the red on the XFX gpu, looks a lot better with it done. coming along nicely bud

I can get on board now there's a biblical radiator in there! I love your unique placement of the alphacool sticker it really works. I would of expected you to go white with the GPU plate but it works, it would be slick with a little white XFX decal on there right now it looks like a case manufacturer show rig with debranded parts which ain't a terrible look. It looks like a good strong little card sitting nice and square with no sag.

If you want to borrow some acrylic bending mandrels then you certainly can, just saying.

Thanks, it looked awful at first but it turns out you just need to really layer it on for it to look good.
Thats not bad for a point n shoot.. Are you using a Tripod?
yeah, I also take about five shots at a time as to reduce any wobble etc ^_^.

As I have had a big issue with XFX in the past (effectively that card is running a custom cooler due to the lack of... cooling) I was planning on getting some custom decals for it/ maybe putting an alphacool logo on it or something. The placement of the sticker is going to change as its slightly off from where I wanted it. It was supposed to be in the top left of the window and its currently a few mm out. Its actually never sagged much due to the lack of anything heavy (such as a proper heatsink >_>) which makes a complete change from my other 'cards. Still planning to get a backplate for it in the near future though. #SagIsn'tSwag

Cheers for the offer but I've actually got the full pro bender kit from an impulse buy a good few months ago. I'm going to let this rig run with its current liquid-y state before changing over to acrillic, getting some color in those tubes and probably a different reservoir.
this guy is a top bloke ^_^
Sure is ^_^

Thanks everyone for the kind words, it really encourages me to put in more and more work in this beast.

Next up will be- lacing cables (except the CPU 8 pin, as you can't even see it thanks to the rad and is infact plugged in on all the shots), a psu shroud that covers the wiring/ motherboard bit at the bottom, finally finishing the loop and GPU backplate.

Oh and one of the e-loop fans has snapped a bit :(.

ha bendeeerrrrrr!

No problem buddy I thought i'd offer as i've got no use for them atm now i've done and it might help you out being a boss building two rigs at once but I can see your an even bigger bender than me lol.

XFX never came across as a quality brand I must admit, i've had bad experience with Gainward and EVGA, I know some have had Gigabyte and Asus beef, graphics cards are obviously just a bit poor in general no matter how much you spend, gotta give some respect to the reference nvidia's they are epic. At the same time though sticking alphacool on an air cooled card, bit kinda contradictory, I can see a solution but can that monster rad handle it =00=

Looking great apart from the kink. I actually like the shape of the RM550.
Yeah I like the non blocky-ness of it

Looking good man.
Cheers :D.

Its not my rig if I don't wind someone up about it :'). Yeah XFX were crap back then, they've improved slightly but they're still not that great.
