right i noticed i had a very small leak in my loop, doesn't seam to be leaking at the moment but looks like it has been. i will be getting my new graphics card through the post on monday (290 windforce) i am wanting to get this sorted before i install it.

what do you think i need to do to sort it. drain the loop and put a new fitting in the place of that one?

Try making sure its tight to start off with. If that doesnt work then youll either need to replace it or maybe wrap a bit of PTFE table around the thread of the fitting that goes into the rad.

Hopefully doing it up a bit tighter will sort it. DO NOT fit the new GPU till this is 100% sorted and put some paper towel under that fitting (on top of GPU) for now so you will have a very visual way of seeing the leak and hopefully soak it up before it causes a short.

If that did drip on your GPU youd most likely kill your graphics card

yeah everything was stable for the leak test i done a few months ago and everything has been fine up until now, nothing on my gpu thank god.

thanks for the fast reply have a good xmas and i will give u and update once everything is sorted and the new gpu is in.

Clean it and try tightening that fitting, deffo get some kitchen roll over your GPU and keep an eye on it for a few days - you need to get some heat in the rig because thats when it will find the leak - I normally turn fans right down and stress the system right out (dont let anything overheat though)

I found this out the hard way. The loop was completely leak free during testing while the power to the PC was off. I started playing BF3 and when I finish I realised loads had came out of the fittings on top of the reservoir. Luckily it's only above the pump so nothing else got wet, but I used silicon sealant on a part of the res, and PTFE tape on the threads, and that's sorted it since.

ok so i have given it a clean and a good tighten. been running occt for 30 mins now cpu got up to 78 deg at the highest temp with fans all on speed reducers. no leaks so far i will keep a good eye on it and fingers crossed everything is all good by the time monday comes round.

Should put the gpu under stress if you have installed it as well to see how the fittings handle it.

Glad you have got it sorted fella, dont forget to keep an eye - having some kitchen roll in there for a day or so wont hurt - rotaries can work loose when fitting the hose so its a normal thing.

Next time check them all before leak checking

Are those bitspower fittings? You can buy spare o-rings if it turns out that the o-ring is at fault
